Turkeys, Indians, Pilgrims, and a really Long Table
Feasting is such a great way to celebrate the Thanksgiving season. On Friday Landon invited me to come to a feast at his school. I was delighted that my boss's daughter is in the same room so we went together...what a blessing...So I got there and my eyes nearly jumped out of my head...picture this....a table was set in Thanksgiving finery all the way down the hall. Then entire day-care was going to attend the Feast. At his place setting was name plate with his name on it and a place mat that was decorated by him for this occassion...There was also a little turkey statue he made and a picture of him working on these projects. I was in awe at the thought that went into making this feast so special...Well I went into Landon's Classroom and there was the cutest bunch of little indians i have ever seen. They were also wearing very large painting smocks...thank you for helping to keep our clothes so clean...We went to the feast and as i looked down the VERY LONG table i noticed that all kids sitting on Landon's side of the table were dressed like indians and all the kids on the other side were...you guessed it Pilgrims...it was so cute...i even got a picture of Landon bowing his head and folding his hands for the prayer...it was an experience i will never forget...and the food was amazing...turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, mac and cheese, rolls, you name it it was there...thank you ccc for all your amazing work with my son....
